Pick your style of boat trip. Looking for a family sightseeing tour? Perhaps you'd like to mix it up with the locals at the sandbar? There are options for all. It's your boat trip, customize it as you want! Here are a few area landmarks and suggestions to maximize your fun on the water.

1. John’s Pass Pontoons

The start and ending spot for your boat trip

2. Johns Pass Sandbar

The #1 boating and social hub of Tampa Bay. It’s a 5-minute boat ride from our docks. Eleanor Island is right beside it, with a slightly calmer vibe. If you’re going to Captain your own boat. Be cautious of the tides. You don’t want to get stuck at low tide. Local tide times

3. Angry Pepper

Waterside BBQ restaurant with full bar

4. Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grill

Waterside restaurant with a full bar

Best areas for cruising

Boca Ceiga Bay is a wonderful area for cruising and offers good chances for dolphin sightings. The Hubbards Marina area near the John’s Pass Bridge offers good opportunities. This is a high-traffic area. Proceed with caution. You can go out into the Gulf, but not too far, and please stay with the shipping lane.

North up the Intracoastal Waterway

As you cruise northward, you’ll see how we live here in Madeira Beach and our neighbors in Redington Beach. We’re a quiet and vibrant beach community. Getting out on the water is a big part of our lives.

Crusing south on the Intracoastal

Southbound will take you through Treasure Island Beach. Another lovely beachside community. You’ll go through Paradise Island and the Yacht Club (high-end private residences). Then under the Corey Causway Bridge to St Peach Beach. This is Boca Ceiga Bay Aquatic Preserve, which is as far south as you are allowed to go without our Captain. If you are interested in going further, consider our guided boat tours

Our pontoon boat rentals are easy to operate, but if it's been a while, here are some boating safety tips you'll want to keep in mind.
